After the festive period ends, there are many ways to recycle your real Christmas tree correctly:
- Bring your tree to one of BDC’s 10 drop off collection points on 14 January 2023 and we will recycle your tree. Find out more information on BDC website.
- Register for the Farleigh Hospice Christmas tree door-to-door collections from properties in postcodes CM0, CM1, CM2, CM3, CM4 9, CM6 3, CM7, CM77, CM8, CM9. You must register your tree no later than 10am on 4 January for collection between 6 and 8 January 2023.
- You could take your tree to one of the Essex County Council’s Recycling Centres.
- Compost your tree at home by cutting it into smaller pieces and adding it to your home compost bin.
